Group Golf Days to Remember in the Irish Midlands

Give your society a course to get stuck into: undulating fairways, tee shots through woodland and water to negotiate. At Birr, the finish towards the clubhouse leads naturally into a meal and a comparison of the day’s scores. Packages for 12 or more golfers cover golf only, breakfast and golf, or breakfast, golf and lunch. Society bookings are available seven days a week within the playing windows below.

Society Golf Packages

All prices are per person, with a minimum of 12 golfers. Winter prices apply from October to March; summer prices apply from April to September.

Society bookings are available Monday to Friday at any time, on Saturdays after 10:30am and on Sundays after 12 noon, subject to tee-time availability.

Send your preferred date and group size to check availability. Include catering, buggy or trolley hire requests, and any dietary or accessibility requirements.

Take Your Society Around Birr Golf Course

Birr gives your group a mix of driving holes: some with room to open the shoulders, others where position sets up the approach. On the par-three 8th, the left bunker and overhanging branches frame the tee shot. The 11th, a favourite with many Birr golfers, asks you to find the right side for an approach through the trees.

Send the hole guide to your players before the day. It gives everyone a chance to plan their way around Birr before the first card is marked.

Golf Society FAQs

What is the minimum society group size?

The minimum number of golfers to qualify for our society packages is 12. If your group is smaller than this, you will be quoted the standard visitor green fee rates.

When are society bookings available?

We welcome society bookings seven days a week, with unrestricted tee times Monday to Friday, from 10am on Saturdays and from 12 noon on Sundays.

What deposit and payment terms apply?

A 10% deposit is required to secure your booking. Final numbers, food options and payment will be due 7 days before your playing date.

How much does it cost for a golf society?

Society packages start from €35 per person. We have a host of other packages available which also include food options.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements and buggies?

All dietary requirements can be met. Please let us know at the time of booking and then when confirming your food options in advance. Buggies are also available but must be booked before your play date.
